Arizona State Parks in “imminent danger of complete collapse”

Dead Horse Ranch State ParkThe Report

On October 31st of this year, a task force put together by Governor Brewer published their final report on the state of Arizona state parks. If you use the state park system or you value the economic benefits a park system gives Arizona you will want to read this report. Already the state has closed three parks and limited activities in many of the others.

The Solution

This task force came up with the solution that would add a fee to your vehicle license plate renewal and at the same time make the parks free to anyone with an Arizona plate. If you use the parks, this will probably cost you less in the long run.  If you don’t use the parks it will cost you around $15 per year. This 14 member task force has 7 different directives in the report that can change the state parks as we know it.
