Andrew Thomas, our local County Attorney put out a pamplet, “Road Map to Crime Prevention”.
It’s full of useful information on stopping various crimes. I section is about, “How to Spot Meth Houses.”
Here’s what they tell us:
“Law Enforcement can’t fight infestations of methamphetamine alone. Below are some ways you can determine if meth is cooking in your neighborhood.
*Strong smells like cat urine, ether alcohol, ammonia and / or acetone.
*Efforts made to reinforce doors and to cover or black out windows.
*Trash including antifreeze containers, starter fluid cans and red stained coffee filters.
*Unusual amounts of activity in and out of the home at all hours.
